Ever since then, it has become well-known that whenever Shatta Wale engages in an online argument with someone, he is often accused of neglecting his mother.
The dancehall artist has denied this accusation multiple times, and he has taken it a step further by listing some of the luxuries he has provided for his mother over the years.
The dancehall artist has explained how he bought his mother four cars and rented a high-end apartment for her in a fancy area of Accra, in addition to other things, to prove that he has not abandoned her as some people claim.
After receiving criticism from online users for supposedly neglecting his mother and focusing solely on criticizing Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale made this revelation.
Ayisha Modi had previously scolded Shatta Wale for not putting in the same effort to take care of his mother, following a series of verbal attacks on Stonebwoy on social media.
“You can’t even provide for or take care of your own mother; you disrespect the mother of someone who has passed away. You just keep making things up,” Ayisha Modi, a former member of Stonebwoy’s team, had said earlier. “Bring yourself, I dare you.”
However, in response to these claims, which are quickly becoming a “stereotype,” Shatta Wale stated, “Everyone in my life has spent my money, including my parents. That’s why it amazes me when I hear people talk about my mother. People actually think I am not responsible enough, they think I abandoned my mother. They think I don’t take care of my mother.”
