In 2017, Pastor Love was taken to court for selling a car without the owner’s permission. The prosecution stated that the complainant, Samuel Amankwah, had imported a Toyota Highlander into Ghana in 2016 and had asked Pastor Love to manage its clearance.
Once the car was cleared, Amankwah instructed Pastor Love to sell it for $50,000, with the agreement that the clearance fees would be deducted from the sale price. However, Amankwah later decided to pay Pastor Love directly for the clearance when he returned to Ghana in April 2017.
